Digging 04:25
Digging lyrics: Categories disintegrate, meaning eludes. Structures dissolve, what to do? Who are we? The scholars. Who are we? The priests. Who are we? The self-anointed, Digging castles out of the sand. Relationships weaken, solitude grows. Systems are failing, where to go? Who are we? The moguls. Who are we? The technocrats. Who are we? The self-anointed, Digging holes to never be filled. Our days are a search for meaning, so often, it seems, alone. This wasteland swallows footsteps, no paths carved out in stone. The sun reddens behind the hills, our long shadows hardening to bone. And who are we? Uncertainty everywhere, we’re missing a link. Questions proliferate, what to think? Who are we? The red-pilled. Who are we? The woke. Who are we? Self-anointed, Digging roots out of the ground.

Imminence 05:18
Imminence lyrics: It’s coming… I can feel it. It’s going to happen. Can’t you feel it? Electricity is all around us. It’s in the air… It’s imminent… It’s inevitable. It’s…it’s…it’s coming! Time is collapsing upon us and we stand here sleeping. Days race ahead while the minutes creep by. Heaven is spinning away with Lucifer weeping. The moment explodes and we ask for more. We’ve been here before. This feels too new and too real to be mere repetition. Serpents and tails, the horizon expands. Can we escape our fate of creative destruction? Fire, flood or whimper, we may be no more. We’ve been here before. We’ve been here before. We’ve been here before. It’s coming… We’ve been here before. It’s coming… We’ve been here before. I smell it… Taste it… Feel it… Hear it… See it… Sense it… Believe it… It’s coming. It’s here… Here now… Surrounding… Fulfilling… It’s imminent… It’s coming! We’ve been here before. It’s coming!

Feel it… Dignity, Resentment, Contempt, Respect Humiliation, Trust, Courage, Shame Feel it… All of these I give to you. You cannot escape. All of these I give to you. Feel it… And reconcile.

All or Nothing lyrics: All or nothing, zero sum game. All in for nothing, it's always the same. Haves and have nots, it's a permanent fix. Inputs and outputs, just take your licks. All or nothing, your soul bereft. You thought you could do it, now there’s little left. Nobody said that the game is fair. You’re in for a penny, let the player beware. It’s all or nothing. All or nothing. Once it seemed like a dream. It felt like yearning, it’s not what it seems. Imperative stumble, it’s not over yet. The clock’s still ticking, cast a wide net. Across the table, across the field, across an ocean, the seed may yield. Inputs and outputs, resentment builds. The choice is yours whether to die on that hill. (You must make a choice.) All or nothing, zero sum game. Inputs and outputs. So who will you blame? Days and weeks and months and years, take their toll and take the tears. The time is drawing very near to make the choice and cast off your fear. All or nothing. It’s all or nothing. All or nothing. It’s all or nothing.

Invocation lyrics: What… What is this? What are they? Who… Who am I? Who are we? Why… Why this? Why not? When…?

Visitor 04:57
Visitor lyrics: The new day glistens like a jewel, safely held behind a glass. A pretty token of a promise made to neither future nor the past. Let it go. Just let go. Step out into the morning sun, a disk so bright it’s hard to see. The light feels warm upon this skin, a thin membrane containing me. Let it go. Just let go. I am not lonely. I am not alone. I am not afraid. I am not at home. The others appear as points of light, a thousand stars against a sky. How many light years hence have flown these quanta of truth and of lies? Let it go. Just let go. I am not the dark. I am not the light. I am not wrong. I am not right. A thousand needles every day. A thousand reasons not to stay. Where’s the balm to take the sting? We find it in the song we sing. My portion has been meted out, a point in time, no more, no less. What meaning, then, am I to make? The one I’m unable to contest. Let it go. Just let go. I am not an island. I am not the sea. I am not empty. I am incomplete. A thousand needles every day. A thousand reasons not to stay. Where’s the balm to take the sting? We find it in the song we sing. We find it in the song we sing. Find it in the song…

about

Darkness and Light. Despair and Hope. Resignation and Resistance.

At the Edge is an exploration of personal and spiritual crisis in an industrialized society. Pervasive sounds of machinery and technology are set against quantized rhythms. Yet a fractured humanity, expressed in the layered/processed vocals and classical influences, yearns to break free of the machinery, rediscover itself and find meaning in existence.
